Peace of mind for families
TheirCall is a warm, friendly AI that phones your elderly parent every day for a gentle chat — and reports back to you in plain English. No apps. No gadgets. No setup on their end. Just the phone call they've always answered.
What families tell us
"I ring Mum every day — but I never know if she's just saying she's fine."
The worry that never quite goes away
01
You call. They say they're fine. But "fine" covers a lot of ground. Did they eat today? Have they spoken to anyone? That slightly flat tone in their voice — does it mean something?
02
A care home feels too much. They're not at that stage. But the gap between full residential care and hoping for the best feels uncomfortably wide.
03
Technology is not the answer. You've tried. A smartphone they won't charge. An app they find confusing. A tablet that lives in a drawer. They trust the phone. That's it.
04
You're doing your best from a distance. You have work, children, a life. The guilt of not knowing whether today was a good day or a hard one sits quietly in the background of everything.
How TheirCall works
Your elderly parent never touches any technology. They don't need to. The phone rings at a time you choose. They answer. TheirCall does the rest.
We called it TheirCall for a reason. The daily phone call is theirs — warm, familiar, something to look forward to. And staying independent, in their own home, on their own terms? That's their call too. Yours is simply knowing they're okay.
Families choose everything about the call
The AI calls as a familiar, trusted voice — not a stranger from a call centre.
The phone rings
A warm, human-sounding voice calls your parent at the time you've chosen. It might be called Grace. Or James. They'll recognise the voice from tomorrow's call too.
A proper conversation
Not a form. Not a checklist. A real chat — about sleep, about meals, about the weather, about how the knee is doing. They talk. The AI listens, and gently asks more.
You get the full picture
After each call, you receive a plain-English summary. Not medical jargon. Not a transcript. Just: how was Mum today? What did she talk about? How did she seem?
Alerts when something's different
If she mentions dizziness twice in a week, or goes quiet when she's usually chatty — you get a text immediately. Not next week's summary. Now.

Why families trust us
Not a medical device
TheirCall is a wellbeing companion, not a healthcare product. There are no electrodes, no monitoring patches, no medical claims. Just a warm daily conversation.
Your data stays private
Call summaries are shared only with the family members you choose. We never sell data, never share it with advertisers, and you can delete everything at any time.
Safety built in
If your parent seems distressed during a call, the AI keeps them talking and sends you an alert immediately — before the call ends.
Works on any phone
Landline, mobile — it doesn't matter. If your parent can answer a call, TheirCall works. No downloads. No setup on their end.
Cancel any time
No contracts. No annual lock-in. If TheirCall isn't right for your family, you cancel in one click. We'd rather earn your continued trust than hold it hostage.
You're in control
Change the voice. Adjust the topics. Pause calls during hospital stays. Everything about how TheirCall talks to your parent is yours to shape.
From families like yours
"Mum has always refused a smartphone. She thinks tablets are for hospitals. But she answers the phone — she's done that her whole life. That's all TheirCall needs."

"I live three hours away. I call every day but I always wonder what she's not telling me. Having something that gently asks and actually listens — that's what I've been looking for."

Questions we're asked a lot
Will my parent know it's an AI?
We encourage honesty. Families can choose how to introduce TheirCall — some say "this is a voice that'll ring for a chat", others explain it's AI. Most elderly people, once they've had a call or two, simply enjoy it for what it is.
What if they don't answer?
TheirCall tries again later in the day. If there's no answer after two attempts, you get a notification straight away. You decide what that means — sometimes it's just a long bath.
How natural does the voice sound?
Remarkably natural. We use ElevenLabs, which produces some of the most realistic AI voices available today. Most people cannot tell it's not a person on a phone call. We offer multiple UK accents, including Scottish.
What if my parent says something worrying?
If they mention a fall, pain, dizziness, or anything that sounds concerning, you receive a text alert immediately. The AI is designed to gently explore rather than move on — so you get real information, not surface answers.
Can I choose what they talk about?
Yes. You set the topics — meals, sleep, mobility, mood, medication, appointments. You can also flag sensitive subjects to avoid. The AI doesn't freelance.
When will TheirCall be available?
We're in final development now and taking waitlist registrations. Waitlist members get early access at a founding member rate and will be the first to know when we launch.
